Aldeburgh Concert Harp
My Aldeburgh harp is a fully chromatic, fully realised, concert pedal harp. With seven pedals to control pitch, forty-seven of the highest quality gut strings and an elegant structure made from top to bottom of pure rosewood, my harp is one of the best quality sounding harps the market currently has to offer.
The Aldeburgh Concert Pedal harp, by Pilgrim Harps, was specially designed in 2009 in tribute to Benjamin Britten, arguably the most celebrated musician of the 20th century and a prolific composer of much of the harp music played today. Consequently, the name ‘Aldeburgh’ is adopted from the world famous Aldeburgh Festival, which was co-founded by Britten. The concept, design and construction of the Aldeburgh harp in its entirety, honours the emergence of contemporary and classical, making it a unique and aesthetically pleasing instrument.
